All of Grandvalira lifts are currently operating with a snow depth of around two feet (60cm) across the area and 90 percent of terrain open. This is a great improvement on this time (early February) last season when snow depths were half that amount, and most of that was machine made snow. The resort has had falls of up to a foot (30cm) of natural snow in recent weeks. Most terrain parks and a good selection of intermediate and advanced level runs also are open, unlike last winter. It's a similar picture at the three Vallnord ski areas where 95 percent of lifts and runs are operational, as well as the resort's various snow parks. Again it's a big improvement over last winter when only about half of the terrain was open with severely limited intermediate, advanced, and snow park terrain.
